Ron Hoffman was born in Whittier, CA in
1956. He grew up in San Diego, CA, where he
later married his wife, Becky. Ron graduated
from Berean Bible College and began a
full-time pastorate in 1981.
In the early 1980’s he enjoyed taking
young adults into Tijuana and Tecate, Mexico
on mission trips. It was during this time
that the Lord moved on his heart toward
full-time missions.
In 1988, Ron resigned from his church in
Jamul, CA and accepted a full-time position
with Tecate Mission Intenational. He began teaching in
the 6th grade at Tecate Christian
School. In the summer of 1989, he was asked
to take the position of Principal at TCS.
Over the years that followed, Ron had the
privilege of working with our former
Director, Vern Edmonds. "Vern was a true man
of God who patiently modeled the Biblical
qualities that I was seeking to instill into
my own life and leadership." says Ron.
Ron and his Becky have 7 of their 10
children still living with them at their
home in Tecate, Mexico. The other 3, (2 now
married), all live in Tecate, Mexico as
well.
