TELLING OTHERS ABOUT JESUS At my church in Mexico I am in a class learning how children can tell others about Jesus. I want tell you some of what I have learned.
God wants to GIVE us eternal life. That means we can live with God forever! It is a gift that anyone can have. But what is a gift? It is something FREE that someone gives you because they want to. You cannot earn it (that is being paid) and it is not because you did something to get it (that is a prize). God wants to give you this gift because he loves you.
God wants to give everyone that gift, but some people do not want it. They are too busy doing bad things to ask for it. What kind of bad things? Some disobey their parents. Some tell lies. Some cheat on tests at school. And some do not help others, even when they know they should. These bad things are called sin. The Bible says that if we sin, we will receive death. Death is being away from God. We cannot take His gift if we are away from Him.
God loves us and wants to help us. Some people think he is like a police man, waiting for us to do bad things so he can punish us. Some people think he is like a grandpa, always giving us good things and not seeing what we do that is wrong. But God is not like that. Like the grandpa he loves us, but if he did not punish us for doing wrong, we would not learn to obey. Like a police officer, he makes sure that we obey HIS laws, so that we do not get hurt or hurt others.
Because people are not looking at God they cannot have eternal life. God saw that problem and he sent his son to take away the death that we should get for our sins. He came to the earth, lived a PERFECT life (not one sin!) and then he died anyway, just to take our death. But God brought him back to life and now he is in heaven waiting for us to take God’s gift!
To take that gift we have to believe that it is real, and that God will give it to us if we ask. But, that does not mean that we take it today and forget it later. It does not mean that we believe it in our heads but never open it either. We must take the gift, open it, and use it every day. That way we can be more like Jesus, and obey God’s laws.
Would you like this gift? You can get it by praying a prayer like this one: Dear Jesus, I know that I do bad things. Please forgive me for the bad things that I do. Please come in my life and save me from going away from you. I know that you died to pay for my sins and you are alive in Heaven now. Please help me live every day doing what you want me to do. Amen.
If you asked Jesus for this gift, please tell us at info@tecatemission.org so we can help you live the way God wants you to. We can help you learn more about what God wants you to do by reading his Bible.

Many children who live in cities also like pizza, hamburgers, and hot dogs. What are the kid's houses like? A few kids have houses like the ones in the we live in, but many live with their whole family in one room. In some big cities, some kids even live in houses made out of old cardboard boxes. What do kids wear? Most children where uniforms when they are at school. When they play, many wear bright colored clothes from the area where they live, or, if they live near the United States, jeans and t-shirts.

| A Bible Verse to Learn: Jesus said to the followers, "Go everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News to everyone." Mark 16:15 (NCV) |
AFTER I ASK JESUS IN MY HEART, I NEED TO: 1) Read God's word. It will teach you how to be like Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16)
2) Memorize God's word. It will show you how to follow God. (Psalm 119:105)
3) Talk to God. When we pray, we can tell God what we feel and he can help us. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
4) Go to a church that tells about Jesus. You need to be with others who love Him. (Acts 10:25)
5) Tell someone else about Jesus. This makes you think more about who He is. (Acts 2:15) |
